Expedition Kits: Dinosaur Excavation from Kristal Educational

Want to dig, discover, and make something great? Then grab your tools and excavate! With the Dinosaur Excavation kit, you'll get to be just like a paleontologist and unearth a replica of a dinosaur's fossilized remains. Only you won't have to travel halfway across the world like a lot of paleontologists do - you can dig in right at your own kitchen table. The kit comes with a special multi-layered rock, a wooden digging tool, 2 watercolors, and 2 paint brushes. Because you'll need to use an oven to complete your fossil, you'll also need an adult nearby when playing with this toy.

Start by using your digging tool to scrape away at the rock. The rock has different layers just like the earth does, and you'll need to get through them all to complete your excavation. When you've found all the pieces of your fossil, you've still got a mystery to solve. But after you clean, dry out, and piece together the different parts, you'll soon see the fossilized remains and the dinosaur they create! You can totally restore your prehistoric discovery by gluing the pieces together. Then use the paint and brushes to show off the dinosaur you've found. When you've finished making your fossil look great, you can hang it on the wall. Or proudly show it all around, since it's probably been a while since a 70-million-year-old dinosaur came to your town!
